Marlon Evangelista

Marlon Evangelista, a dedicated musician and technologist, has been accompanying and cantoring at Mater Dolorosa Church in South San Francisco since 2005. By day, he leads web development projects at Gensler, a world-renowned architecture firm. By night, his passion for music shines through as he serves as Associate Music Director at Mater Dolorosa and accompanies Archbishop Riordan High School's spring musical productions.

Looking ahead, Marlon is excited to contribute to Riordan's 2025 production of Hello, Dolly! and is eagerly anticipating a pilgrimage to Italy with his church choir in July. He hopes to culminate their journey by singing at the iconic St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

Beyond his professional and musical pursuits, Marlon enjoys experimenting with new technologies, hiking local trails, indulging in various cuisines, and attending sporting events and concerts. A seasoned traveler with a curious mind, he has ventured to various parts of the world and enjoys telling stories via photography and Google Maps reviews. Additionally, Marlon actively volunteers in the community, serving as a garden maintainer for the Lake Merritt Gardens in Oakland and a piano ambassador for the annual Flower Piano exhibit at the San Francisco Botanical Garden.
