Marcialyn Lopez

Soprano Marcialyn Lopez finished her Bachelors Degree in voice at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, Manila, Philippines under the late Maestra Salvacion Oppus Yñiguez. In her undergraduate years, she was a seasoned soloist of the UST Singers with Prof. Fidel Calalang Jr. Marcia received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at Bowling Green State University in Ohio with Prof. Myra Merritt.

Upon moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, she has sung with various choral groups such as the San Jose Opera Chorus, the Saringhimig singers with George Hernandez and including the UST Singers Alumni in America.

Currently, she sings with the International Orange Chorale of San Francisco. Additionally, she is also a free lance church cantor. Marcia is honored to be an inaugural member of LALÒ and looks forward to singing with the group in the future.
