Leon Palad
Leon Palad, tenor, attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has performed with San Francisco Lyric Opera, West Bay Opera, Bear Valley Opera and Opera Festival in Rome, Italy. He was a featured soloist in Bravo Musical Showcase in Northern California, Texas and Oregon. On the concert stage, Mr. Palad has performed the tenor solos of Bizet’s Te Deum, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Mozart Coronation Mass, Mozart’s Missa Brevis, The Creation by Haydn, Bach’s Magnificat and The Messiah by George Frederic Handel. He performed with numerous choruses and symphony orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony, SF City Oratorio, The SF City Chorus, Women’s Philharmonic, New York City Philharmonic, Redwood Symphony, Sonoma Symphony, Coro Hispano, Golden Gate Boys Choir, Spindrift Players, Peninsula Civic Light Opera, Peninsula Musical Theater and Masterworks Chorale. Leon, performed in the centennial celebration of New York’s Carnegie Hall and performed the tenor solos of Handel’s Messiah at San Francisco Davies Hall Symphony. His awards include first place winner at the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Hellman Award, and City Oratorio Award.
He has served as musical director at Park Presidio Methodist Church, Saint Patrick’s Youth Group in SF (SPYCO), the Christian Church of Vallejo, the Christian Science Church in SF, and Saint Thomas More Catholic Church. Leon is a certified SLS teacher. He currently serves as the Music Director at the Church and the School of the Epiphany in San Francisco and FAMMA (Fil-Am Ministers of Music & Arts).
