Jon Diaz
Jon Diaz first cultivated what would become a life-long passion for choral music when he joined The Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club, the oldest university choir in the Philippines. Under the baton of Prof. Joel Navarro and Jonathan Velasco, two of The Philippines’ most influential choral conductors, Jon embarked on a couple of European concert tours with the Glee Club, bagging top honors in several prestigious choral competitions in Slovenia, Italy, Germany, France, Ireland and Spain. In 2001, JD became a founding member of the Ateneo Chamber Singers, an ensemble dedicated to singing sacred classical music.
In 2006, JD moved to San Francisco where he deepened his love of choral music, singing with The International Orange Chorale and The Golden Gate Men’s Chorus.
When he’s not singing, JD enjoys going to the opera and the symphony, traveling the world, cooking and baking, and going on adventures with his beloved dog, Billy the Dood.
