Among LALÒ’s inaugural offerings with Artistic Director Dr. Raoul Carlo (Miggi) Angangco, Panunuluyan is inspired by the Filipino Christmas Eve tradition of re-enacting Mary and Joseph's journeying in Bethlehem in preparation for the Nativity.
Themes of continuing a journey, seeking shelter, yearning for home, awaiting dawn, and extending welcome will be explored through the works of Agot Espino, John Rutter, Ryan Cayabyab, Caroline Shaw, Gianpaolo Eleria, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Paulo K Tiról, Karl San Jose (LALÒ’s first WORLD PREMIERE commission), Raoul Carlo Angangco, Lucio San Pedro, and George Hernandez.
