Emmanuel Miranda
Emmanuel Miranda is an award-winning professional musician based in Los Angeles. An active conductor, church musician, music educator and a consummate professional choral artist, he studied Conducting and Vocal Chamber Music at CAL State Los Angeles and University of Redlands, and continues to perform with renowned conductors, professional ensembles and artists around town, across the country and abroad. Most recently, he was appointed as Chancel Choir Director at Burbank First United Methodist Church. Manu is also the Founding Artistic Director and Conductor of FilHarmoniCA, a chamber choir serving the Greater Los Angeles community. Before moving to the United States he has performed extensively with the Philippine Madrigal Singers on countless local and international concert tours, festivals and competitions, winning the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing in Arezzo, Italy (2007) and in Tours, France (1997). Most recent highlight includes performance appearance with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale, Los Angeles Children's Chorus, National Children's Chorus with Gustavo Dudamel leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Deutsche Grammophon live concert recording of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, “Symphony of a Thousand,” at the Walt Disney concert Hall that won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Choral Performance at the 64th Annual GRAMMY® Awards.
